PEARL HARBOR – DEC 07, 1941

Rescue of Sailor near the USS West Virginia

Japs carry out devastingly sneak attack early on a Sunday morning while most of the citizens and military were sleeping.

Like my Grampa Fraser used to say, “They paid for their larnin.” Once the Yanks hauled on their britches, and prepared to do battle the Japs did pay and pay dearly. Like one of the supreme Jap leaders said at the time said in response to one of his generals who indicated to him, “we won a great battle,” we have awakened a sleeping giant.”
