Once winter approaches and always before setting out on a trip even a short one ensure you have:

–          Checked your tires

–          Ensure you tire pressure is correct

–          Check your windshield wipers (replace if necessary)

–          Always ensure your washer fluid reservoir is topped up

–          Don’t overload your vehicle

–          Ensure items don’t block your view

–          Ensure fuel tank is between full and half

–          Dress for the weather

–          Throw an emergency bag in trunk with candles, garbage bags, flash light, extra socks, chocolate bars, touques, and mittens

–          Watch the distance between you and the fellow ahead

–          SLOW DOWN TO CONDITIONS and DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!!

Let common sense add to your emergency bag list to meet needs in response to conditions and time of year – CAPER
